Oadby clubs and societies

BSC is a mixed 4 part choir about 40 strong, open to all ages without audition.

It rehearses on Mondays from 7~9pm at Trinity Methodist Church, Oadby, from September to May.

It presents a programme of Christmas Music in December and also goes carol-singing to raise money for charity.

Previous performances have included Handel’s Messiah, Merrie England by Edward German, and a programme of Opera Choruses.

There is an annual subscription of about £60.

BSC is a very friendly choir which welcomes new members.

The Oadby Flower Club meets at 2.30pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Trinity Methodist Church. New members and guests are very welcome.

The Christmas Craft Fair in Leicester 
This one day event is on Sunday November 22nd at Parklands Leisure Centre, Wigston Lane, Oadby, Leicester LE2 5QG. Admission is  £2 with U16 free. Doors will open from 10.30am until 3.30pm. Refreshments are available and ample parking is available.

A real wealth of local crafters will be there displaying their wares for sale in plenty of time for Christmas. Along with the obligatory cards and jewellery we also have ceramicists, a woodturner, a handmade prize tombola (all proceeds to Cancer Research UK) and a maker of burlesque items. Well worth a peek!
